Find out more about Harriet Inglis, the woman behind Spacemasks.
At All About Eve at Home, we love a beauty product. What we love more than just a beauty product is one that helps us get a moment to ourselves, relieves headaches and eye strain.
Meet the Spacemask
Harriet Inglis designed these award winning Spacemasks, while she was busy working in restaurant PR for Nobu, Mr Chow and Hakkasan. Wanting some time to unwind and relax, she came up for the idea of Spacemasks. They forced her to have some well needed time out.
Within minutes of putting on your Spacemask you will feel it warm up and start to mellow your tired eyes and face. Also, the soft smell of jasmine will help to transport you to a galaxy far far away! The eyemasks can help to relieve anxiety, headaches and reduce eye tension. The masks last around 15 minutes, the perfect amount of time to relax and unwind in a busy day.
More about Harriet
Harriet is a mum of four, who has found a way to balance starting a business by taking some time to relax. She never dreamed that Spacemaks would be as popular as they are, creating a buzz within the beauty industry. Also, customers often send her moving messages, including multiple stories of how the masks have helped them take positive steps to feel better.
She suffered from depression and panic attacks in her 20s after her mum lost her battle with cancer. Her mum was a significant influence on her life, saying that everyone loved her and she never grumbled. Harriet realised she needed to take time out from every day and get the self-care she regularly required.
Harriet Inglis says she is hyperactive and wanted to create something that would force us all to take some time for ourselves. The Spacemasks do this entirely. In addition to her masks, she takes the time for swimming, bubble bath and having regular facials to ensure she keeps herself in tip-top mental condition. Also, daily cuddles with her two dachshunds Gretel and Strudel.
